LONG-LASTING METAL ROOFING FOR HOMES AND BUSINESSES ACROSS GEORGIA, ALABAMA & TENNESSEE
- BUILT ONCE. BUILT RIGHT. BUILT TO OUTLAST.
THE LAST ROOF YOU'LL EVER HAVE TO THINK ABOUT.
Most asphalt roofs need replacing every 20 to 25 years. A metal roof installed correctly does not. It handles hail, high winds, heavy rain, and the heat that deteriorates asphalt over time, and it does it for 40 to 70 years depending on the system. At Kross Roofing, we install metal roofing systems for residential and commercial properties across Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee. We have been doing this work for over 20 years and installation quality is everything with metal, which is exactly where we focus our attention.

COMPLETE METAL ROOFING SOLUTIONS
Standing Seam Metal Roof Installation
Standing seam is the benchmark metal roofing system for residential and commercial buildings. Panels interlock at raised seams and are secured with hidden fasteners, meaning no exposed screws, no entry points for water, and a clean profile that holds up for decades without fastener failures.
Metal Panel Roof Installation
Exposed fastener metal panel systems offer strong performance at a practical price point for agricultural buildings, commercial facilities, and secondary structures. We install R-panel and corrugated metal systems with proper underlayment and fastener placement to manufacturer specifications.
Metal Roof Replacement
We replace aging asphalt, single-ply, or deteriorated metal roofing systems with new metal installations, giving homeowners and property owners a long-term solution that eliminates the need for regular replacement cycles every 20 to 25 years.
Metal Roof Repair
Panel seam failures, fasteners backing out, flashing separation, and sealant deterioration around penetrations are the most common metal roof repair needs. We diagnose the source of the issue and repair it using compatible materials and correct fastener types for the system.
Metal Roof Coating & Restoration
Older metal roofs with surface rust, minor seam issues, or sealant deterioration can often be restored with a coating system instead of a full replacement. We assess the existing metal, address structural issues, and apply a coating that extends service life.
Metal Roofing for Commercial & Agricultural Buildings
We install metal roofing systems on warehouses, agricultural structures, retail buildings, and industrial facilities, matching the right panel profile, gauge, and attachment system to the building’s load requirements and use conditions.
WHY HOMEOWNERS AND BUSINESSES CHOOSE Kross Roofing
HIDDEN FASTENERS. NO EXPOSED WEAK POINTS.
On standing seam systems, fasteners are concealed beneath the panel seams, not driven through the surface where they can back out, rust, and let water in over time. It is a fundamental difference in long term weather performance.
ENGINEERED FOR HIGH WIND EVENTS
Metal roofing systems properly installed to wind resistance specifications hold up in the severe weather this region sees regularly. We do not cut corners on underlayment, panel attachment, or edge metal, the details that matter most in a bad storm.
REFLECTS HEAT INSTEAD OF ABSORBING IT
A metal roof reflects a significant portion of the sun's energy instead of absorbing it the way asphalt does. In Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee summers, that difference shows up in your energy bills over time.
ONE INSTALLATION. DECADES OF PERFORMANCE.
Metal roofing does not need to be replaced on a 20 year cycle. When we install it correctly, you are looking at 40 to 70 years of service life with far less maintenance than asphalt requires.
OUR PROVEN PROCESS
ROOF ASSESSMENT
We inspect your existing structure, evaluate deck condition and load capacity, assess drainage and panel run lengths, and determine the right metal system, gauge, panel profile, and color for your building and budget.
DETAILED PROPOSAL
You receive a written proposal covering panel specification, gauge, attachment method, underlayment type, warranty terms, and project timeline with enough detail to make a confident, informed decision before any commitment is made.
INSTALLATION
We install underlayment, panels, trim, and all flashings to manufacturer specification. Panel seams, ridge caps, eave trim, and all penetration details get completed correctly before sign off. Nothing gets covered until it passes our inspection.
FINAL WALKTHROUGH & DOCUMENTATION
We inspect every panel seam, fastener point, flashing detail, and transition before the job closes. You receive warranty documentation and a completed project record the day we finish.

Roof Inspections
Metal roofs need periodic inspection too, particularly at seams, fasteners, and flashing details where wear shows up first. We inspect, document every finding, and give you a clear report on where your metal system stands.

Gutter Installation & Repairs
Pair your new metal roof with a properly sized gutter system that handles the faster water runoff metal panels produce. We install and repair seamless gutters sized and pitched correctly for every roofline we work on.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long does a metal roof last?
A properly installed metal roof typically lasts 40 to 70 years depending on the system, the gauge of metal used, and local climate conditions. Steel and aluminum systems in this region perform well with periodic inspection and minor maintenance at flashings and sealants.
Is metal roofing louder than asphalt during rain?
Not with proper installation. Metal roofing installed over solid decking with quality underlayment is no louder than an asphalt roof during rain. The noise concern is associated with older metal roofs installed directly over open framing without decking or insulation underneath.
Will a metal roof rust?
Modern metal roofing panels are coated with galvanized or Galvalume steel, a zinc and aluminum alloy that helps prevent rust under normal conditions for decades. Cut edges and fastener points are the areas most susceptible to surface oxidation, which is why proper installation details and periodic inspection matter.
Can metal roofing be installed over my existing asphalt shingles?
In some cases, yes, depending on local building codes and how many existing roof layers are already in place. We evaluate the existing roof condition during the assessment and give you an honest answer on whether a recover or full tear-off is the better long-term decision.
Does a metal roof increase my home's resale value?
Metal roofing is viewed favorably by buyers and appraisers because of its longevity and low maintenance requirements. A home with a new metal roof does not carry the liability of an aging asphalt roof that a buyer may need to replace within a few years of purchase.
Do you install metal roofing on both residential and commercial buildings?
Yes. We install standing seam and exposed fastener metal panel systems on both residential homes and commercial properties. System type, panel gauge, and attachment method vary depending on the building’s structural requirements, intended use, and the conditions the roof will face long term.
