PROFESSIONAL EXTERIOR PAINTING FOR HOMES ACROSS GEORGIA, ALABAMA & TENNESSEE

  • SURFACE PREP DONE RIGHT. FINISH THAT LASTS.

PAINT IS THE LAST LINE OF DEFENSE ON YOUR EXTERIOR.

Exterior paint does more than make a home look good. On wood siding, trim, and fascia, it is a protective coating against moisture, UV exposure, and temperature swings. When paint fails prematurely it is almost never a paint quality problem. It is a surface prep problem. At Kross Roofing, we handle exterior painting for homeowners across Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee with proper surface preparation, correct product selection, and a finished result built to hold up for years.

COMPLETE RESIDENTIAL ROOFING SOLUTIONS

  • Full Exterior House Painting

We paint the complete exterior of your home including siding, trim, fascia, soffits, doors, and shutters as a coordinated project. Surface prep, priming where needed, and two finish coats on all painted surfaces. We do not spot paint problem areas and call it done.

  • Siding Painting & Repainting

Vinyl siding can be painted when it has faded or when a color change is needed. Wood and fiber cement siding requires periodic repainting to maintain its protective coating. We prepare the surface correctly for each material type and apply products formulated for exterior siding in this climate.

  • Trim, Fascia & Soffit Painting

Trim boards, fascia, and soffit panels take more direct weather exposure than wall surfaces and tend to show wear first. We paint these surfaces with exterior rated products and proper prep so they hold up between full repaints and do not become the weak point in your exterior finish.

  • Door & Shutter Painting

Front doors and shutters get handled constantly and exposed to direct sun, conditions that break down paint faster than most exterior surfaces. We prep, prime, and paint doors and shutters with products suited to high traffic and high UV surfaces so the finish holds through regular use.

  • New Construction & Post-Renovation Painting

New siding, replacement trim, and repaired surfaces need to be primed and painted before they are exposed to weather. We handle post renovation and new construction painting as the final step in an exterior project, coordinated with whatever other work is happening so nothing sits unprotected.

  • Exterior Surface Prep & Repair

Good paint starts with a clean, sound surface. We pressure wash, scrape, sand, fill, caulk, and prime before any paint goes on. If we find rotted wood or failing caulk during prep, we address it before covering it up because painting over a problem does not fix it.

PREP IS WHERE THE JOB IS WON OR LOST

A paint job is only as good as the surface it goes on. We pressure wash, scrape, fill, caulk, and prime before anything touches the wall. Skipping prep is the reason most exterior paint jobs fail early and we do not skip it.

PRODUCTS CHOSEN FOR THIS CLIMATE

High humidity, intense summer sun, and temperature swings require products that can handle real conditions. We use exterior paint formulated for the Southeast's climate, not whatever is on the shelf at the lowest price point.

COORDINATED WITH YOUR OTHER EXTERIOR WORK

If you are also getting roofing, siding, or gutters done, we sequence the painting work so surfaces are painted after installation and repairs are complete, not before, and not by a separate crew working independently.

ONE CREW. FULL EXTERIOR ACCOUNTABILITY.

We handle roofing, siding, gutters, and painting, which means we understand how all of those surfaces work together. When we paint your exterior we are finishing a system we know from top to bottom.

OUR PROVEN PROCESS

EXTERIOR ASSESSMENT

We inspect all surfaces to be painted, identify peeling, cracking, rot, failed caulk, and bare wood that needs priming, and give you a clear picture of what prep work is needed before paint goes on.

CLEAR PROPOSAL

You receive a written proposal covering the scope of surfaces, prep work included, primer and paint products specified, number of coats, and project timeline so you know exactly what you are getting before work begins.

PREP & PAINT

We pressure wash, scrape, sand, fill, caulk, and prime all surfaces before applying finish coats. Every surface gets the prep it requires for the product being applied. We do not rush the prep to get to the paint faster.

FINAL WALKTHROUGH

We walk the full exterior with you after the job is done, every surface, every trim detail, every transition, and address anything that needs touching up before we consider the job complete.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How long does exterior paint last in this region?

A properly prepped and painted exterior typically holds up for 7 to 10 years in the Southeast before it needs repainting. High-humidity environments, intense sun on south- and west-facing walls, and poor prep the last time around can all shorten that window considerably.

  • Can vinyl siding be painted?

Yes, with the right product and proper prep. Vinyl needs to be clean and in sound condition and painted with a product specifically formulated for vinyl. Standard exterior latex can peel because vinyl expands and contracts more than wood or fiber cement. We use products matched to the substrate.

  • What does surface prep actually involve?

Prep includes pressure washing the full surface, scraping loose or peeling paint, sanding rough edges, filling cracks and holes, re-caulking failed joints around windows and trim, and priming any bare wood or repaired areas before finish coats go on. The prep takes longer than the painting on a job done correctly.

  • Do I need to be home during the exterior painting project?

You do not need to be present during the work itself, but we recommend being available at the start to walk through the scope and at the end for the final walkthrough so any questions or adjustments get handled directly before we leave the site.

  • Can you paint just the trim and fascia without painting the whole house?

Yes. Trim, fascia, soffits, doors, and shutters can be painted as a standalone project when the siding is still in good shape but the accent surfaces have faded or worn. We prep and paint only the specified surfaces and blend the finish as closely as possible with adjacent areas.

  • How do weather conditions affect exterior painting?

Temperature, humidity, and rain directly affect how paint applies and cures. We do not paint in rain, on wet or damp surfaces, in temperatures outside the product’s recommended application range, or in direct midday sun on hot surfaces. Painting in the wrong conditions produces a finish that peels early, so we schedule work accordingly.
